Dave Barron has always been fascinated with music and the art of being a Dj ever since growing in a small town of Oxford, Nova Scotia. Moving to Ottawa when he was 6, Dave became interest in Nightclubs.

To fall asleep most parents would read their kids stories for Dave it was different, his mother would drive him around the clubs to excite him to tire him out. Fast forward, when he was old enough he write into a radio station and asked how to get involved, thats where he met Dj Kiwi and Pablo Diablo, from there Dave started to learn the art of djing from learning the mixng to song selection to dj tricks, taking in everything he could from some of Ottawa’s / Toronto’s best Dj’s.

Shortly there after, he got hired on at Space Nightclub (Ottawa). His official first gig was November 9,2004 where he Dj’ed for Miss Canada 04 at the time. Taking on the name Dj Shaggy D he began his Dj career. Later after he met Mc Daddy Rich and was asked to join Midnight Jamz, a popular radio show on CKCU 93.1 Fm, which still runs today. Djing at some of Ottawa’s best Nightclubs, now Dave is taking on a new look and direction, turning Dave Barron into a household name. Look out for him in a city near you.
