Evan Rachel Wood really wishes the world would take a collective chill pill.

In reaction to Miley Cyrus’ new haircut (perhaps you’ve heard a thing or two dozen about it?), the actress joked around on Twitter and wrote: “I called it! Miley Cyrus is leaning toward gay.”

Wood, a known bisexual, then deleted the message after receiving some backlash and posted the following explanation.

“Ok. To be clear. I believe you should be able to joke and have a sense of humor about everything. And i hate explaining, but just to be clear, i dont judge people on how they look. Nor do i associate a hair style with sexuality. I myself am bisexual and have always ‘joked’ about miley giving me gay vibes. Not a bad thing! Just an observation.

So i ‘joked’ when she cut her hair that it supported my case. But, i am not so close minded or into stereotypes or labeling. It was a joke. Period. could care less what gender she was attracted to. But dont hate me for supporting her in whatever She chooses. Its all fine by me. That is all.”

It seems fine by Cyrus, too. She replied to Wood and simply wrote: “well said! Let’s be friends.”

Everyone can relax now.

It’s been long and it’s been ugly, but for Usher Raymond, it’s all been worth it:

A judge has awarded the singer primary custody of the two children he shares with ex-wife Tameka Foster.

The case has gone back and forth for months, with Foster alleging that Usher was an irresponsible father who took drugs in front of his kids. Accusations of infidelity, inattentiveness and a great deal of name-calling have also been tossed around by both sides. Usher even cried once on the witness stand.

But the court has now sided with Usher and the former couple’s sons will spend a majority of time with their father.

Foster will receive some custodial rights, but it’s unclear at the moment just how the arrangement will work.

Octomom may star in an adult film, but she still has standards.

Or something. Call it the Nadya Suleman version of standards.

“I remain celibate to this day – it’s almost 14 years now – and I touch no one but myself [in the film],” the Octomom: Home Alone star revealed to Celebuzz.

This year’s Octomom porn film flew in the face of her earlier claims that she would never, ever appear in such immoral films. Why the change of heart?

“I had to make money quick,” admits Nadya, whose La Habra, Calif., home is now in foreclosure. “I never wanted to delve into the entertainment industry.”

“It was the way to make the most money. As a mother of 14, I accepted that I had to eat my words, and I own that … I’m very proud of the film.”

There was also a silver lining … a sexy one.

“It was facing one of my ultimate fears,” Suleman said. “I was always uncomfortable with sexuality in general – so the film was very liberating and empowering.”

Ugh.

As for what she tells her brood, “they’re totally desensitized … we have all been through things together, and our experiences allowed all of us to pull out strengths we never realized we possessed. I raise them in total honesty, but I don’t tell them details.”

Smart move. It’s one thing to know your mom made a self-pleasure porno, another thing to sit through it or have her discuss the details. Same goes for her “Sexy Party” single. It’s probably for the best they don’t actually hear that atrociousness.

The Prince Harry naked photo scandal may be far from over.

Max Clifford, one of the most powerful and prominent publicists in Britain, says he’s “been approached by two American girls” claiming to have additional photos and evidence from Harry’s wild night in Vegas, according to Us.

“I turned them down,” Clifford says, however “there’s more out there. Stories which wont go down well with the Royal family. It could get worse.”

How much worse? That remains to be seen. Harry will be in the doghouse regardless, but right now the two nude shots are actually pretty tame.

If a deluge of new, crazier photos were to hit the Internet, the nude pic scandal could become a royal pain … in a manner of speaking of course.

British newspaper The Sun ignored a warning from the palace and a regulatory ruling on Friday morning by controversially publishing the pics.

Imagine what kind of hullabaloo would go down if there were a full frontal shot of the crown jewels exposed … think Harry’s sweating right now?

David Beckham is speaking out against allegations that he had an affair with Welsh singer and Dancing With the Stars finalist Katherine Jenkins.

A spokesman for Beckham tells E! News:

“Unfortunately, we have to deal with this type of nonsense on Twitter. One minute David is dead, then the more scurrilous rumors, there is no truth to any of it.”

Jenkins also took to her Twitter to squash this piece of celebrity gossip:

“Dear Twitter friends, I’ve read some horrible rumours on here & want u all 2 know I absolutely deny I’ve had an affair with David Beckham. These rumours are extremely hurtful, untrue & my lawyers tell me actionable.”

“I’ve only met David twice … [the last time] we were out in a group of friends & it was just a normal fun evening out. Just so we are clear I have never been on my own with him and never arranged to meet up.”

Translation from both hotties: It’s not true. Now back off.

In the wake of this morning’s Empire State Building shooting – in which Jeffrey Johnson is accused of killing a former coworker and wounding up to eight bystanders – New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has issued a statement.

“Earlier this morning, a man who had been fired from his job about a year ago began shooting. He killed one person, at least nine shot. Some may have been accidentally shot by the police,” Bloomberg said as a summary, adding:

“I ask everyone to keep victims in their thoughts. This is a terrible tragedy, and it would be no doubt more tragic without the heroic acts of the policemen. Every day, the police put their lives on the line to save lives bravely.

“NYC is the safest big city in the country, but we are not immune to the national problem of gun violence. This is the beginning of an investigation. Two are dead — the perpetrator and his victim. He does not appear to have a criminal record [at this time]. We’re just starting this investigation.”

Bloomberg is an outspoken supporter of stricter gun control laws. It will be interesting to see what sort of action, if any, he takes in response to this tragedy.

Katniss Everdeen has taken her bow and arrow to The Twilight Saga and hit a bull’s eye:

The Hunger Games has sold 3.8 million copies in its first two days of release, outpacing both previous installments of that other popular young adult series.

In February, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 sold 3.2 million DVDs and Blu-rays on its first weekend, while Eclipse came out to 2.7 million in December 2010.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are new parents and we must admit, Penelope Scotland is pretty darn cute.

But all is not well in this household, according to the latest issue of In Touch Weekly, which quotes a friend as saying Disick is on a “downward spiral” and “more of a mess than I’ve ever seen him.”

The cover story alleges that Disick is “back on drugs” and often partying while high on cocaine. Yes, folks, the “evil Scott” is back, says another source:

“Things between Kourtney and Scott are the worst they’ve ever been… The animosity between them is really bad.”

Allegedly, Disick isn’t allowed to be alone with his daughter, which might seem tragic, but consider this from Kris Jenner’s point of view: talk about prime storyline material for Keeping Up with the Kardashians!

And speaking of going crazy, the young star has a new admirer: Charlie Sheen!

Miley actually started the unexpected lovefest between these two last year, writing (after a 17-month absence from Twitter): “I’m not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow Charlie Sheen.”

And she continued it yesterday, addressing the actor on that social network with: “@charliesheen IS THE [bomb icon].”

The Anger Management actor then replied to the props with a few of his own: “Idk, w/ that new haircut Miles…You’re the [bomb icon],Come watch the show at my place! xo c.”

It’s nice that Cyrus has an admirer and all, especially with the criticism her fresh look has received online, but allow us to offer Miley this piece of advice: DON’T GO!

It’s a magical occasion for Harry Potter star Rupert Grint. The actor turns 24 today!

He’s landed a role alongside Chloë Grace Moretz in the upcoming Dennis Wilson/Beach Boys biopic, The Drummer; and he carried the Olympic torch during its 2012 relay; but Grint will forever be remembered – VERY fondly – as Ron Weasley in the most popular film franchise the world has ever seen.
